4v4 Christmas Club Tournament


South Shore United Parents and Players,

Join us for our 4th Annual 4v4 Christmas Club Day Tournament!
This year, the event will take place over two separate days.

Create a team of 4-5 players and be part of this festive, fast-paced holiday tradition.

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Most festive costumes

  • Most creative team names

  • Top team in each division

Spectators are welcome and encouraged!

WHO & WHEN

December 22 - U11-U13 players
5:00-8:00 PM @ HB Studios

December 27 - U15-U18 players
10:00 AM-1:00 PM @ HB Studios

COST: 

$120 PER TEAM

Limited spots available. Each division will be capped.

How to Register:

  • Team name

  • Division

If a player cannot find a team, we have a limited number of spots available to help place players onto a team. Email xmas4v4@ssufc.ca if your player wants to play but cannot find a team.

FAQS

Q - What should the players wear?

A - Let's keep spreading the HOLIDAY SPIRIT and wear your most festive uniforms to match with your team!

 

Q - Will we have team names?

A - YES! All teams are encouraged to create their own team name! 

 

Q - When will the schedule be coming out for the tournament? 

A - The schedule will be given to the players upon arrival on the day of the tournament.

 

Q - When should my player arrive / leave the tournament? 

A - The players are expected to be at the tournament for the duration of their age group time slot. U11-U13 are expected to be there for the full 3 hours. U15-U18 are expected to be there for the full 3 hours. 

 

Q - Can my player attend even if they are not on a team of 4-5? 

A - Yes! Even if you were not able to make your own team, you can register for the tournament and we will place you on a team the day of the tournament. *Limited spots available for this*

 

Q - Does a player on the team need to be a goalie?

A - NO! This 4v4 tournament will not have goalies in the mini nets. 

 

Q - Can U15s mix with U18s or does each group of 4-5 on a team need to stay in their age category?

A - Yes! You can have multiple age groups (within the age category IE. U15-U18) on one team. You cannot have a U11 or U13 player on a U15-U18 team. 

 

Q - How long are the games? 

A - Games will be 8 minutes straight.

 

Q - How many people are allowed on a team? 

A - Minimum of 4 players, maximum of 5. 

 

Q - Do you have to be registered with SSUFC to play in the 4v4 Tournament?

A - No. We are accepting players who are not currently registered in SSUFC to play in the 4v4 Tournament.  If our players have a friend(s) they want on their 4v4 team but isn't registered in our club, they can still be registered into the tournament the same way as our SSUFC players. 

 

Q - When does the registration close?

A - We will close registration on December 19th to prepare for the tournament. Registration may closer earlier if we reach our maximum number of participants.

SSUFC 4V4 TOURNAMENT RULES

1

Must score from attacking half

Goal-keeping is not allowed (players can not stand in the net). Doing this will result in a 30 second penalty.

Kick ins when the ball goes out of bounds

Designate a team captain. One player from both teams must report the score after every game to avoid miscommunication.

Shin Pads, Socks and Clean Shoes are required

Must have a minimum of 4 players on each team and a maximum of 5 players

Games are 8 mins in length

Round Robin games can end in a tie

Playoff games tie at the end of regulation go to sudden death OT

Maximum goal difference in a game is 5

3 points for a win

1 point for a tie

0 points for a loss
